Carnival 2022 in Ilhabela

Carnival 2022 will start on the night of Friday (20/5), at 20:00, with the delivery of the City Key to Rei Momo, where the Momesca Court rules the city during the Carnival festivities. 

Then, the traditional Bloco da Consinha opens the parades on the main avenue of the Vila, with the theme ?The resumption of life?, highlighting the importance of being happy again, in this post-pandemic resumption.

The Condom Block is made up of Ilhabela Health employees and community engagement, being considered one of the largest carnival blocks on the North Coast of São Paulo. 

Also on Friday (20/5), after Bloco da Consinha, Kebra Mar, La Festa parade, followed by a street dance with a local DJ.

On Saturday (5/21), from 9pm, it is the turn of the city's samba schools to liven up the night: the first to enter the avenue is Mocidade Independente de Ilhabela, followed by Água na Boca, Leões do Ita, Bottle and Anchieta. DJ Carla Behara will animate the revelers during the breaks and at the end of the presentations, there is a street dance with a local DJ.

On Sunday (22/5), the last day of revelry, ?Unidos de Vila Maria?, one of the most traditional samba schools in São Paulo (founded in 1954), makes a special presentation at 7pm, presenting the samba-enredo ? The famous village is more beautiful, Ilhabela da Fantasia?, which took Ilhabela to the mainstream media at Carnival 2016, having won third place on the occasion.

Closing the night of Sunday (22/5), the official groups Unidos do Morro, Tim Malha and Pequeá will perform, followed by the Baile de Rua with a local DJ.
